🏡 Holiday Cottage Giveaway: Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms.

1. Promoter and Eligibility

  • Promoter: The promoter is [Your Door Mortgage Advice] (the "Promoter").

  • Eligibility: The promotion is open to individuals who have completed all required entry steps (see Section 3). Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, or anyone professionally connected with the promotion are not eligible to enter.

  • Location: The holiday cottage is located in Hinderwell, North Yorkshire, approximately 9 miles from Whitby.

2. The Prize

  • Prize: One (1) winner will receive a 4-night stay at a self-catering holiday cottage.

  • Dates: The stay is valid for one of the following fixed date periods only:

    • Option 1: Saturday, 2nd of February 2026 – Wednesday, 6th of February 2026

    • Option 2: Monday, 9th of February 2026 – Friday, 13th of February 2026

  • No Alternative Dates: No other dates are available for the prize. The dates cannot be changed, transferred, or exchanged for a cash alternative.

  • Guest Limit: The maximum number of guests permitted to stay in the cottage is ten (10), including children and infants.

  • Exclusions: The prize does not include:

    • Travel costs, transport, or transfers to and from the cottage.

    • Meals, catering, or any other incidental costs incurred during the stay.

3. How to Enter

To be eligible for the draw, entrants must complete all of the following steps on the official [Your Door Mortgage Advice] Facebook page:

  • Follow the 'Your Door Mortgage Advice' Facebook page.

  • Like the official giveaway post.

  • Share the official giveaway post publicly on their Facebook profile.

4. Important Dates

  • Closing Date: The promotion closes at midnight (00:00 GMT) on Sunday, 21st of December 2025. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.

  • Draw Date: The winner will be selected and notified on Monday, 22nd of December 2025.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

  • The winner will be selected randomly from all valid entries received by the closing date.

  • The winner will be contacted via Facebook messenger within 24 hours of the Draw Date.

  • The winner must respond to the notification and accept the prize within 48 hours and confirm which of the two available date options they wish to take.

  • If the winner fails to respond within 48 hours, or is unable to take the prize on either of the specified dates, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner.

6. Cottage Rules and Liability

  • Self-Catering: The accommodation is provided on a self-catering basis.

  • No Pets: Strictly no pets are permitted in the holiday cottage. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in immediate termination of the stay without compensation.

  • Damage/Breakages: The winner and their guests are responsible for the proper care of the property. Any and all damage, breakages, or excess cleaning costs incurred by the winner or their guests during the stay will be the sole financial responsibility of the winner and must be covered at their cost. A security deposit may be required before check-in, details of which will be provided upon winning.

  • Conduct: The Promoter and the cottage owner reserve the right to remove any guests from the property for unreasonable behaviour, breach of these terms, or any action that causes nuisance or damage.
